Plastic cards: kept in the wallet for years Rigid PVC plastic cards feel like a bank card: they do not tear or fade, so clients keep them far longer than paper. Salons use them three ways:

Membership cards with a QR code or number to look up regulars at the POS. Loyalty cards with stamp boxes or points instructions on the back. Gift cards sold over the holidays. Plastic cards made for your POS The cards work with the POS you already use. Before printing we ask which system you run, then print the barcode, QR code or magnetic stripe it reads, with a unique number on every card, so a quick scan activates it and checks the balance at the counter.

The front prints in full color; the back in black to save, or in color on both sides. Sold as gift cards, they fall under the federal gift card rule (12 CFR 1005.20): the funds cannot expire within five years, and expiration dates and any fees must be disclosed. Prefer paper? See gift certificates. Cards work best with a POS system that handles gift cards.
